Turn your idea into something you can hold.
The CCNY Makerspace gives students the tools, machines, and know-how to design and build real things from 3D prints and laser-cut parts to full fabrication requests handled by the machine shop.

Need a part machined?
Bring us a STEP file and an engineering drawing (or even just a clear drawing) and the machine shop will review your request. No need to schedule the subtractive machines yourself; the shop handles the fabrication.
- 1. Check in with your CCNY ID at the kiosk.
- 2. Describe the part and upload your files.
- 3. The shop receives your request and follows up by email.
Accepted files
Bundle your STEP files and engineering drawings into a single ZIP. Up to 20 MB total.
